Zambia hosts the Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX) 2025 from 5–7 June at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, under the theme “Sustainable Tourism: Driving Inclusive Growth.” The event is set to attract tourism professionals, investors, policy-makers, and consumers from across Africa and beyond. The programme includes a Hosted Buyers initiative, B2B meetings, exhibitions, and knowledge sessions, with President Hakainde Hichilema expected to officiate at the opening ceremony on 6 June.
Key highlights include a high-level panel on unlocking economic growth through sustainable tourism, dedicated sessions on digital innovation, air connectivity, data-driven decision-making, and destination branding. Discussions will also explore tourism education, conservation-focused tourism, MICE development, and professional skills in the industry. ZATEX 2025 will conclude with a Consumer Day promoting domestic tourism, and a Gala Dinner for networking and industry celebration.
