Zambia Airways has announced the launch of direct flights between Lusaka and Harare, with operations set to begin on 17 June 2025. The new service will offer three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, expanding the airline’s regional network and enhancing connectivity between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

According to CEO Thomas Gebreyohannes Woldesenbet, the route is aimed at boosting trade, tourism, and cross-border collaboration between the two capital cities. The additional link supports regional integration efforts and provides greater access to cultural and natural attractions in both countries. Zambia Airways currently operates regional services to Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam, and Nairobi, alongside domestic routes including Ndola, Livingstone, Lusaka, and Solwezi.
