Venture capitalist and founder of Draper Associates, Tim Draper, stated that altcoins benefit Bitcoin.
The statement was made during an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box, where Draper explained that altcoins act as testing grounds for blockchain upgrades, which ultimately benefit Bitcoin in the long run.
This forms the basis of Draper’s $250K Bitcoin prediction, which he says he’s been advocating for a long time but ‘I haven’t been right yet. But we’ve gotten halfway there, so that’s very exciting.’
However, in the current pro-crypto environment created by Trump’s GENIUS Act, Draper’s prediction might not be too far off.Â
