EgyptAir’s Move to New JFK Terminal to Boost US-Egypt Travel

EgyptAir will relocate its operations at New York’s JFK Airport to the new Terminal One in 2026. The national carrier will maintain its daily nonstop flights to Cairo from the upgraded terminal, supporting increased access for American travellers to Egypt’s historical and cultural attractions.

The $9.5 billion terminal development is a key infrastructure project at JFK, set to roll out in phases from 2026. With improved capacity and a premium passenger experience, the New Terminal One is expected to enhance long-haul travel to destinations like Egypt. EgyptAir, a Star Alliance member and the sixth from the alliance to join the terminal, says the move aligns with its strategy to grow inbound tourism by making Egypt more accessible to US visitors.
