ASKY Airlines Expands Footprint with New Route to Nouakchott

ASKY Airlines has announced the addition of Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, to its growing network of destinations. Effective August 2, 2025, the new route will link Lomé to Conakry and Nouakchott, operating three times weekly aboard a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

This development marks another step in ASKY’s strategic expansion within the continent affirming its position as a key enabler of air access between underserved regional hubs. The service schedule reflects a well-planned circuit, with KP014 departing Lomé at 13:30, arriving in Conakry at 16:15, and continuing onward to Nouakchott by 18:45 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The return flight, KP015, will leave Nouakchott at 06:15 on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays, making stops in Conakry before reaching Lomé by mid-morning.

Based in Lomé, Togo, ASKY Airlines is a pan-African carrier focused on bridging Africa’s major cities through reliable and efficient air service. Since its establishment, the airline has consistently prioritized intra-African mobility, contributing to the region’s socio-economic integration. Backed by regional institutions such as the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development and the West African Development Bank, and with strategic operational support from Ethiopian Airlines, ASKY continues to evolve its operations in line with the needs of Africa’s travelers and businesses.

The introduction of Nouakchott as a new destination highlights the airline’s awareness of emerging market needs and its responsiveness to regional demand. Mauritania, with its growing economic ties and untapped tourism potential, stands to benefit from increased air access, which is essential for facilitating both government engagement and private sector participation in travel and trade.

Recent months have also seen ASKY modernize its fleet with the inclusion of a Boeing 737 MAX 8, part of its broader effort to improve environmental performance, passenger comfort, and route efficiency. Moreover, the airline continues to strengthen its regional presence with newly negotiated partnerships and expanding frequencies to key destinations like Nairobi.

ASKY’s entry into Nouakchott is more than a new route; it is a contribution to regional mobility, an invitation to explore shared horizons, and a reminder that every flight represents the possibility of deeper continental integration.
